- Research Interests: Electric propulsion, Plasma physics, Optimisation (genetic algorithms), Astrodynamics (three body problem)
Hello, I am Tsubasa. My name ‘Tsubasa’ means ‘wing’ in Japanese, so I believe I’m destined to study aerospace engineering. I was living in Tokyo for a long time, but after coming Kyushu, I got to really enjoy natural surroundings and delicious seafoods here, and driving around such beautiful places has become one of my most favourite hobbies. I also like playing and watching soccer.
Kohei Omiya
- Master’s student, BEng
- Research interests: Space transportation systems
I joined STSEL because I’m interested in space transportation systems and scramjet propulsion. I’ll study the external flow around the launch vehicles.
Keisuke Suenaga
- Master’s student, BEng
- Research interests: Electric propulsion, Genetic algorithms, Plasma physics
I entered this department because I’d like to become an aerospace engineer, so I’m glad to join STSEL and I’ll try to learn a lot things. I like watching soccer.
Tomoaki Nara
- Master’s student, BEng
- Research interests: Scramjet engines, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Machine learning, Shock waves, Combustion
I am interested in supersonic aerodynamic flowfields and combustion, so I am glad to join STSEL. I would like to realize next-generation propulsion systems that will amaze the world.
Takaaki Matsuura
- Master’s student, BEng
- Research interests: Trajectory design, Neural ODE, Optimization, Space missions
I’m pleased to be one of the members of STSEL. I’d like to learn something new about aerospace engineering here and be involved in space development in the future. My hobby is watching and playing sports, especially baseball.
Aoi Shibakita
- Master’s student
- Research interests: Compressible gas dynamics, Scramjet engines
I’m interested in space transportation systems. I’ll learn about compressible gas dynamics in detail through my graduation research and someday I would like to realize a new type of launch vehicle.
Hayato Mori
- Master’s student
- Research interests: Aerospace vehicles, Space transportation, Electric propulsion
I love the sophisticated designs and intricate systems of aerospace vehicles such as airplanes, rockets, and space craft. That’s why I’m eager to work at STSEL and help create even better transportation methods. In my free time, I am involved in a club where we design and build human-powered airplanes. I find joy in creating objects with my hands.
